Yes. Starting with our September 2026 release, when you upload a photo or video we read the technical information (EXIF metadata) your phone saved inside the file. If your device recorded where the photo was taken, we store that location along with the photo. We keep only the date the photo was taken and its location; other technical details, like camera and device information, aren't kept.

This location information will allow for better search and sorting options to be offered in the near future.

Please note that, to comply with various legal requirements, location metadata is automatically removed for any media uploaded by a user under 18.

Photos uploaded prior to our September 2026 release will not have any location metadata associated with them.
